Who here watched the Olympic Opening ceremony???

the reason why china is overpopulated in the first place
is because the stupid Mao Zedong believed that more people=more power
so he told everyone to make babies pronto!!!

Also, it's that Mao Ze Dong went and made everyone a poor farmer.

If everyone is a poor farmer and it's guaranteed that they're paid, they might as well have more kids who'll be workhands and help.

That party loyal sentiment frightens me.

oh yeah, and because China's culture is so conservative
homosexuality, bisexuality is unspoken of
people would ridicule you for that
there is no such thing as gay movements, gay marriages, etc..
well there's no such thing as protesting in general
because the chinese government is ruthless and will detonate you!

Haha. I'm not sure they'll go that far, but yeah. Homosexuality? Pbt.

My mom asked me if lesbians really existed. It was such a -palmface- moment.

my grandfather on my chinese side lived through the cultural revolution!! scary stuff!!

Also, sorry, but what is your username supposed to say? Every time I look at it I'm all "IN VIETNAM?" Except I know I'm missing and putting in a few letters.

Haha everyone says that :]
It's inveniam viam, Latin for "I will find a way" - it's part of the Hannibal quote "Aut inveniam viam aut faciam." He was trying to cross a mt range with his elephants and some guy was like "There's no path through the mountains!" And Hannibal was like "I will either find a way or make one" :]

i asked my mom if she had gay classmates in highschool/college and she was like..huh?

Yeah. I still remember that scene in The Red Violin (which is an awesome movie) when they burnt all the instruments. That made me cry and hate that era lots.

Surprisingly, I'm neutral on Mao Ze Dong. It's like, yeah, that era was corrupt enough to warrant a revolution, and I admire him for being able to start one, but GOD were some of his policies bad.

I hate how history books praise Mao!!
it makes me sick

I actually have a poster of him in my room. Do I make you sick?

yes, your face makes me sick

That's good. Mao was a visionary and a hero and should be everyone's role model.

and that was an extremely gratuitous remark on your part

^ Would you mind explaining why that was a gratuitous remark? I asked a question and expected a real answer.

i answered your gratuitous question with my gratuitous answer

You didn't explain why my remark was gratuitous. I don't care if you give my response a serious answer though.

why don't you understand?

me: I hate how history books praise Mao!!
it makes me sick
you: I actually have a poster of him in my room. Do I make you sick?

no ****

me: yes, your face makes me sick

I was wondering if the history books made you sick simply because they were spreading the word around that Mao should be "praised." Me having his poster in my own room because of my own views is totally different. I wanted to know if you would stereotype me by a simple poster, thus making you "sick"

By the way, I don't even have his poster, I just was wondering exactly what your views were of the situation and if you'd judge a person based on one of their private views.

Mao Zedong is a sensitive matter for me

^ Obviously
