I see that most of the people on these forums are definitely intelligent, over achievers with tough schedules; but who isn't taking an AP (or IB) exam?

I'm not. But that's because I'm a freshman.

Hopefully next year I'll be taking the exams for AP Comp Sci, AP World History, AP Microeconomics, and AP macroeconomics.

I'm not either because I'm a freshmen. Next year I'm taking AP English lang., AP Calc AB, AP Stats, AP US govt, and AP Art History tests. :D

I'm not and I signed up for 4 AP Classes (Literature, Calculus AB, Chemistry, and Government).

It's supposed to be required for one to take the test if one takes the class, but for whatever reason if you just don't want to take it, they can't force you- it does cost money to do it.

I did take two tests last year though (US History and Biology) and got a 4 and 2 respectively.

I'm not. I'm a sophmore and in my school it's rare for anyone below junior year to be taking any APs. :)

I'm a sophomore, and my school has an anal policy about not letting you take APs as a sophomore...next year I'll be taking two though. It wasn't a personal choice-I would have taken AP Euro and AP World, but my school is retarded.

i've taken 5 AP classes, but only (will) have taken 2 exams. Only one exam that I actually cared about (LOL AP Chem).

taking four this year, but honestly don't care if i pass any of them. however, i'm sure that i will.

I'm not taking any APs.

Nope...sophomore and I didn't have enough space for AP Comp Sci. Next year will take AP Calc, Gov, and Comp Sci, but I just had a sudden fear that if I don't take AP English Lang as well I am not going to get into college. D:

I took 3 AP's this year but skipped one of the tests.

I wasn't going to, but I made a very irrational, last-minute decision of self-studying a course in 2 months.
Next year, I'll probably do few others..AP Bio for sure, and maybe AP Micro/Macro, AP Chem XD

My school offers no AP classes, so my only option would be to self study (which I learned you could do a month ago). I'm a junior now, but I might take the Calc test next year for fun. Many of the colleges I'm looking at (especially Caltech) don't give credit, but if you actually know the material you might be able to move up a course level. Seeing how much everyone else was stressing out, I'm glad my school doesn't offer APs (one of their design principles).

2 down, 2 to go!

Senior, zero APs in HS :)

None MORE for me. EVER! :D I took Calc AB and French Language this year, both Englishes last year and Spanish Language the year before that, and I'm DONE. :D I'm NOT taking Physics C or Statistics, though I'm enrolled in the classes. It wouldn't have been worth it. (If I did well on physics, I would have to skip intro physics at Stanford if I choose a major that requires physics. Ehhh, not a good idea, I think. And Stanford doesn't give credit for AP Stats, no matter the grade. The teachers had underprepared us for those tests, anyway. So, it's all good. :))
