Who plans on attending Wash U next year?

I'm still debating...

i mos def will be and im really excited :-)

i'm going!

Me too. And I'm thrilled.

i am too, and i can't wait.

me too
and super excited

I'm going! Has anybody been to the campus? How is it?

I've been to campus twice and I'm in love with the place. The dorms are really nice and the food is great from what i've both heard and tasted. The people are really nice, smart, but laid back. WashU is like the best of both worlds in so many aspects. I particuarly love the medium sized campus feel. Its almost like you're in a bubble and everything is @ your fingertips, but there are so many links to downtown and other parts of the city. I do like how everything is pretty close together and you don't have to cross a lot of different streets to get to different parts of the main campus, in fact, the only street I ever crossed was the one between the south 40 and the main campus. which you don't even really have to cross since there is an underground walk way. I'm starting to ramble, but the campus is great. They are hosting a number of activities in April, you should visit if you can

Thanks Jeffwun! It does sound nice, cant visit since im in Japan and they wont pay for my air-fare sign

By the way, do you know which dorm's the best? For freshman year, is it mostly triple/double or whatever?

Well I stayed in Ruby/Umrath which is a traditional dorm, and even that was nice. I stayed in a single and it was pretty cramped for space, but I did manage to see a traditional double and it was a nice size. They do have a number of modern dorms that are available for freshman. The mordern dorms are amazingly nice and the double/triples for moderns are even bigger than the traditional ones (freshman can't live in modern singles). The major difference is that traditional dorms share a common bathroom for the floor, seperated by gender while modern dorms have one bathroom shared between two rooms.

Whatever you end up in, I'm sure you will be satisfied. The South 40 as a whole is just a wonderful place and is an essential part of the campus culture. I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to live off campus!

I just returned from visiting WUSTL this weekend. It was a great experience, and I am definitely attending! :)

i'm going to WashU. i could have attended an awesome public university, but opted for WashU, despite the cost. i believe that, at WashU, i'll be able to develope more academically and as a person more than if i attended U of I. i'm going to milk WashU's opportunities for all they're worth; double majoring, maybe a minor, internships and/or co-ops, research, extracuriculars, etc.

yeah i am gonna be attending wash u most prolly. i live in indonesia right now though.. so i have not had a chance to visit..

Yeah, I'm definetly going to WashU next year. It'll be nice getting to know some of the people on CC.

I'm definitely going too! Any other theatre people out there?

OOOH. theatre! yeah, i am a theatre person too. hey loubella88! i just paid my deposit today.. so yes.. i'm definately going too ! ^^
