Who works out everyday???????

Do you work out everyday to be in shape?
I find it so difficult to do so in college! (I'm a sophomore by the way)
Especially when you live off campus!

Chyea at least 5 days a week anyway…only hour long sessions though, don’t wanna get too big;).

I have not yet figured out how to manage my time efficiently enough to have time to do more than homework and sleep. I recently figured out how to fit in meals, too. XD So for now I am just making an effort to take the stairs when I can and little things like that, and eating a little better than I might normally to try and compensate.

Sometimes twice a day… depends how busy I am… sometimes twice a week

lol if you do full body workouts 5 times a week you’re probably gaining slower than you could with 3-4 times a week. Your body needs rest between its workouts.

^was about to say. unless youre trying to get fit and not built, then its ok to do a bit of cardio each day.

I’m doing cardio not lifts.

Yea it all depends on how busy I am. I found that when I tried to go as much as I did when I was home for the summer, that it was at the expense of study and social time. It’s really hard managing time while in school, and unfortunately I’ve had to cut down on working out–some weeks I don’t even go.

Needless to say, the six pack is no more ugh. It’s true what they say about gaining weight when you go away to school, the “freshmen 15” or whatever. I thought I’d escape it, but I sure didn’t.

I’m quite thin already but my parents occasionally force me to go to the gym and do cardio to be healthy or whatever (I live at home). And while I’m there if I don’t feel too lazy I sometimes do a couple weights. I’m really more of a going-hiking-and-shooting-baskets-for-exercise type of person lol.

Multiple times a day. Not necessarily to stay in shape, but working out is my stress-reliever. Apparently, I’m stressed a lot.

“Your body needs rest between its workouts.”

Really?..I had no idea.

I have PT Monday and Wednesday mornings for AFROTC and outside of that I usually workout on Fridays.

Rest is crucial for workouts. It’s not really advisable to workout every single day, and certainly not multiple times per day. But all this would depend on the types of workouts you do. As far as I know, cardio can be done daily, but weights should not be done daily. There should be a day of rest for the muscle groups worked inbetween.

I used to do 7 days a week… Then 4-5 to give myself rest days (the gym was in my apartment. Unfortunately not anymore) If I’m busy then 2-3. It only takes an hour away from your day, not that hard. I just find it hard to go even with the hour available though because I’m usually tired all the time. I’ve been only going like 2-3 times a week recently.

i do cardio 4-7x a week… depending on when i wake up and how lazy i am…

i do weights 5x a week… on the other 2 days i do abs

My roommate is in ROTC and has PT every morning except for Sundays. Does this count as working out also since I live with him?

Haha just joking :P

It’s not productive to do any kind of workout 7 days a week.

Even when I was on the cross-country team and was in the best shape of my life (could probably outrun 95% of the population at that point) - the team only trained 6 days a week, as most teams typically did.

You can probably lift weights 5 or maybe 6 times a week if you do some sort of split. Full body workouts you could probably only do 3 a week/ 7 per two weeks probably.

Broke my finger playing rugby, so I’ve been doing heavy squats 4x a week, starting to edge the max up above double body weight.

Once the finger heals, I’m going back to crossfit, which had given me good overall results:
