<p>holy crap....I just called UF and asked about the alliance program....and they said its still in affect. So the top 5% of students are automatically admitted as long as they have no disciplinary problems and have completed the application process correctley. Woot woot....I guess Ill be in the gator family in december for sure :D.</p>
<p>I believe there are a few more restrictions: it only applies to graduates of Florida public high schools....and you have to meet the minimum course requirements for UF entry. So basically it exempts you from SAT, EC, and essay requirements. It is also not clear if "weighted" or "unweighted" class rank is used, so you need to be a little careful before counting this as a done-deal.</p>
<p>well I am going to a florida public school....and I do meet the requirements...and even unweighted my GPA is very high. Im definetley in the top 5% now because my weighted is in the top 2....so I think I should be in. I also went to the Upward Bound Program which really helps during admissions as well. I really hope I get in. LoL.</p>
