Who's applying for Spring transfer 09'-Cornell

Well, I submitted everything about 4 weeks ago and I'm still red in my application status. My SAT scores are still missing too. lol

Hey guys when did you roughly get an ID?

or however people are viewing their materials. I assume cornell sends you one?

But yeah, I sent in my app on Friday, and today the common app said everything is downloaded but my payment is still red? Is that normal?

Yeah, it's normal. Try to be patient, if they don't have everything they'll call you and let you know.

thanks!

Yeah, being patient now is going to kill me. LOL, but what about the "netid" or however everyone is seeing their materials. When did you roughly get that?

I think I got mine a few days after submitting. My payment wasn't downloaded until more than 2 weeks after submitting though.

aha ok! Thanks DarkStar! :) So what school are you applying to?

I'm applying to HumEc. Has anyone else had their application forwarded to the committee for review yet?

Hey guys, how long did it take for your major/department to come up on the self service page? On my commonapp, it says that the supp is downloaded, but it still doesn't show up on the self service page.

It took about a week.

Anyone going to the Transfer Days?

Nope, but I already visited over the summer and saw all I needed to know it is where I want to be.

My self service just updated this morning to show everything but my instructor recs being received. I had two of them sent though.

Transfer Days is primarily aimed at community college students who are deciding if/where they want to transfer.

Hey guys, so I got my netid today, and i looked at the financial aid checklist....and I'm slightly confused. On it appear, the CSS, transcript and the FAFSA...all of which I have already submitted, so I am very confused. Does that mean they are there? or that they don't think they are there?

I was going to do Transfer Day (from Binghamton, an hour-and-a-half long drive) but I absolutely can not afford to miss this Friday's classes.

Yeah, same with me. It sucks that it's on a Friday morning.

You guys won't miss too much....for CALS: CS goes over admission requirements, the CALS curriculum and there is a Q&A session with transfers. There's also an information session for each major where they go over grad requirements..nothing you can't learn online ;-)

Yeah, I just hope that they don't use the attendance in their decisions at all? Anyone else have their applications forwarded to be reviewed yet?

why would they use that in the decision? It sounds like it is for prospective transfers and not people that have already completed the app.

Well it's this Friday, so after the deadline and before spring decisions are released. I know that they definitely take attendance, but kind of doubt that it matters... just throwing out the possibility. It could be geared more for fall transfers since it's long before their deadline.

Well...it's more like you have to sign up before the program and we have a list of students. When you show up...we cross off your name and that's it. It's definitely not used in an admissions decision...that would be unfair.

Like I've already said...the program is aimed mostly at community college students. Most of the CCs in NY will bus students to Cornell for the day....I went through the CALS attendance sheets and I can assure you there were not a lot of OOS or 4-year college students in attendance.
