Update: My application has been sent to the staff to be reviewd. Anyone else?

wow...mine is still red

What do you mean still red? I'm talking about the self-service, not the common app. Also, what college did you apply to. Each college is moving at their own pace, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Mine has been sent to be reviewed too!!! I'm applying to CAS! Wow...crosses fingers I hope I hear back soon :)....hopefully good news! :)

Damn... Mine still says it's missing the college official form.

well my self service page has an X next to the instructor evaluation. I'm applying for CAS and i sent everything in about 3 weeks ago...

I turned my stuff in last week and I still got a couple of X's on my Self-Service page:

Final High School Transcript
Instructor Evaluation

And it says I need my FAFSA and Transfer Transcript for Fin. Aid. Odd...

yeah, according to my to do list for financial aid, i still have transcript fafsa etc to send in, but I called the financial office and they told me that they just recently started sorting those things out, so it just most likely means that they haven't gotten to them yet.

I'd like to compare, by the way, as I'm a little unsure about the "competition".
I'm trying to get into CAS Spring '09 and I hear it's super tough.

Anyways, here it is:

General Info:
Male, Asian (biological ethnic group), Pacific Islander (cultural ethnic group), lived on Guam for 10 years, moved to San Diego about a year ago.

High School Stats:
GPA: 4.0+ (Don't know the conversion to 100 point grading scale, but I graduated with approx 102).
SAT I: 670 Critical reading, 740 Math, 650 Writing
Honors/ECs: Academic Challenge Bowl Team Captain, Choir Bass Singer, AP Scholar with Honor, National Honor Society, NMSC Finalist, #5 ranking out of 300+ students, other unlisted honors/ECs.

College: San Diego City College (Sophomore)
Credits: 37 completed (18 more this sem.)
GPA: 4.0
Major: Mathematics
ECs: AMATYC (community college math league) Student Math Exam Team Captain, Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Mathematics Deputy Lead, NSBE (engineering organization) Treasurer, SHPE (engineering organization) member, and active member of Phi Theta Kappa (Int'l Honor Society of the Two Year College).
Other Community Service: Poll worker and volunteer at an elementary school science exhibit.
Jobs: 20 hrs as a math tutor at school, worked in retail and in a movie theatre months in the past.
Instructor Recs: One from my history professor and one from my math professor. They didn't lavish praise on me, but demonstrated that I love learning, no matter what field, even as my major is math.
Dean Rec: Couldn't provide subjective academic or ranking info, since I'm in community college and the nature of such prevents them from doing such things.
App Essay: Answered the question, but might be too impersonal. Wrote about global warming and how I want to solve it. Those who read it said it was really good.
General Supplement Essay: Wrote about my love for math, intertwined narrative and explicit stating of goals. Those who read this one really liked it, sounded like me.
CAS Essay: Responded to Winston Churchill's quote about being "the prod" and explained three experiences demonstrating these and how I've become "the prod" as a result. Undoubtedly my weakest essay, although the most personal.
Other: I'm actually getting an AA at the end of this semester, so I don't know if that'll affect me at all.

Yay, i'm all green.

Ok...I'm getting really frustrated. I submitted my supp. on 11/01 and it says that it has been downloaded. When I check my self service, it says that they are missing the supp. Anyone else submit the supp. on 11/01 and it still doesn't show up on the self service?

yeah same here...i really wouldn't worry about it dude...i went through all this when i applied as a freshman...it takes awhile for it to show up

A message from the admissions website:

Due to the large volume of application materials we are receiving, there may be a 1-2 week delay between the time your materials arrive in our office and when they are entered into our system. You should check your online application status account for daily updates on what we have received and processed. If you have applied for early decision or spring transfer admission, and are missing any materials, you will be notified in mid-November and given time to submit them. Please do not resend materials that you have already submitted. Thank you for your patience.

Don't hesitate to call if you submitted a while ago and things are still not sorted. They're are usually very friendly and often it'll give you peace of mind.

Any updates?

My app was submitted for review yesterday

gaah, I can't wait to hear back!!!

Same here. Anyone know when people last year heard back? Just knowing that it's "December" is stressful. It could be the 1st or the 31st.

Yeah. It'd be nice to hear from other accepted transfers. I keep calling admissions for various reasons, and last time I spoke to them, the lady told me that they'll start looking at our apps next week. And we might be hearing from Nov 17 to Dec 22.

I'm sort of worried, well no, not really cos I can't do anything now. But one of my teachers hasn't signed that midterm thing....mainly cos he's mean, but yeah, I won't rant about stupid people on this. So that's the only thing I have left to send, and the reason it's sorta scary is cos of their rolling admissions policy....whcih I don't understand, and I get a non answer every time I call, lol
