who's applying RD????

Being sick! And finishing (or trying) for apps due Jan 15 and Feb. 1st.

Too bad we didn't get a White Christmas and a White New Year!

same as Izzy minus the sickness... i also did some wild partying (kinda minus the wild). It is right now 80 degrees here in Texas, talk about a not white christmas

It's 34 and sleeting here. We had snow for a little while this afternoon. Christmas, however, was around 45 and rainy. Disgusting.

well, i don't get a white christmas ever. it is 70 with my air conditioning on but i am wearing a sweater. haha. umm well i was finishing apps. that was not fun. and i attended a slightly wild (but not really) party.

I've been doing my apps by day and going out at night. i'm so tired, i'm more tired now than I was when break started!!

i can't believe how much time is left until april. aaahhh.

the waiting IS horrible....i almost want to go to sleep now and wake up on April 1st surrounded in envelopes. man, that day is going to be an emotional roller coaster :(

No Libs not 20 degrees, NEGATIVE 20 degrees (referring to an earlier post). 20 degrees is nothing for wind chill. Coming from Wisconsin, that's warm.

aaahh i just found out that i had a horrible typo on my middlebury app. that is going to haunt me forever.

If it makes you feel better I typed out "some university" instead of "same university" in an essay.

GRRRRR.

I am applying RD to Middlebury as well. I will be honest, it is not my top choice - but I do like it a lot. (I suppose that's obvious, though.)

I had to write quite a few essays during the whole application process, and the values essay was definitely the most difficult. Oh well, I did it, and now I wait, like everyone else here. :-)

I think an essay I also had trouble was with "who had influence on you and describe that influence". Friends kept telling me it talked too much about the other person and not about me. :o

Yeah, RD Midd.

I applied RD as well. Have any of you actually heard anything from the college at all since you applied. Other schools keep sending me letters or calling me, but Middlebury has made no contact with me since I sent in my app. Is this normal?!

To all of you who are worried about the winters in Vermont, I moved from Georgia to Minnesota. Major weather change! But it really isn't all that hard to get used to the cold and the snow. Besides, just think about all the fun winter actvities that you have been missing out on. Sledding is the best!

that's why i am not worried about living in the snow, even though i am totally not prepared. i want to do all those fun things like make snow angles and go sledding and well, i can't ski but... yeah. haha.

ilovelamp, if we are both lucky enough to end up at Midd, we will go learn to ski together. I may live in NJ...close to the ski resorts of the Poconos and where many families disappear to Vermont for a week every winter...but I have absolutely no experience.

I am used to snow but I still act like a little kid every time and have to go dart around outside and take out my large collection of sleds and lie on my back and make snow angels and look at the sky.

Im in NY and I love snow...just keep your core (head and torso) bundled and youre good!

oh yea i applied RD too.

sheetmusic: sounds like a plan! if i get in, that is... which is highly unlikely. haha.

ilovelamp/sheetmusic..

I'm going to have to join your little skiing party. Texas just isn't known for its ski resorts. I may also have to start an indoors club to complement the hardcore outdoors clubs...we'd a rule that hot chocolate must be present at all times and maybe we can dig some heated tunnels between our dorms and classrooms:)
