Well I'm from western wisconsin and I'm applying to lawrence EA, carleton, and u of m: minneapolis

I'm Malaysian, completing high school in Singapore this December. I MAY be applying to Lawrence's B.A./B.Mus. double-degree program. I really need to know more about financial aid for international students, however; I can only afford to pay less than USD10K a year. Anyone?

I am applying EA from Evanston.

Not sure what I want to do as far as majors go.

I'm American living in Cyprus and am applying to the double degree program. I visited Lawrence this summer and absolutely loved the college, the town and the people of Wisconsin and their accents. I just have an unusual taste and plus I've grown up in a quasi-urban environment so the midwest will be a great contrast for that.

Now here's an odd question.

Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone smokes at Lawrence?

That sounds believable.

Why is it believable. Is it true?

I hope it's not. I despise cigaratte smoke! I just can't stand it.

Um, I'm applying RD.

Cigarettes suck!

I haven't visited yet. What did you guys think of it?

I know people at Lawrence, and they say that there is very little smoking there. There is no smoking permitted in any building on campus.

Everyone smokes in LU??that's pretty weird..
I was never bothered by smokers cause they always find their own spot and be very considerate, (unless they're drunk or high at that time...) and the smokers population is really small, (obviously most con student couldn't smoke, ie wind, brass and voice majors) sportsman couldn't smoke, and that's about 50% of the school, 25% doesn't smoke at all, and 15% choose not to smoke, so it is down to 10%, and cigarettes are so expensive, hence only roughly 5% smoke.
Cheers~
