i have asian parents

so does that mean you're not going...

Yeah... my Dad is crazy... I asked him why he let my sister go to Prom her junior year and he claimed that her going was an act of rebellion against him.

O_O

hmm i'm not going...supposed to be a decent party that night, anyway. I'll go next year, out of obligation if nothing else.

I ended up changing my mind just a few hours before it started and decided to go, I loved it, even though of course I was dateless, and still didn't know how to dance.

i'm glad you had fun!!!!

WHY DO ANYONE NOT WANT TO GO TO PROM!!!

It was the best of my life and it was amazingly fun. It was the best $500 I ever spent.

Ok... I spent forever saying I will not go to prom because since I go to an all-girls school, we can't do anything too elaborate b/c it is a boarding school, and I hate dances. I mean loathe dances. But my friends convinced me to go with them and it was awesome. I also made the decision so last minute that I went home. found a cocktail dress I hadn't worn and got last year for $50, matched it with a friend's shoes, did my own makeup and hair and nails, and paid for the ticket. I saved money and still had the best time ever, I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world.
Downside, I'm dead tired for aps.

Prom is overrated. I went to my junior prom...pictures took over an hour and ended up dancing for only 1/2 an hour...music sucked...it was alright I guess but I'm hoping senior prom will be a lot better...I'd pick california adventure/disnelyand over prom any day! But then again, we have NO amusement parks here at all...

i'm going on may 20th. i'm excited because dances are fun and no one goes to any of the ones at our school except prom. plus i'm on junior student council and we're planning it, so it'll be nice to see how everything turns out.

Ahhh. I really don't want to go. All my friends think I'm crazy. Mines in a week and a half. I don't know what to do!
