I applied early decision to the M&T program at Penn. A week ago I heard from an M&T alum, who wanted to conduct a Skype interview with me this week. So now I am planning to have the interview with him tomorrow on Skype.

Then today I received an email from a local Penn alum, who asked me if I could meet him in his office next week.

Am I supposed to do two interviews? What should I do? Shall I tell this local Penn alum that I have arranged an interview already? But I think the Skype interview might be for the sole purpose of the M&T program.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance! : )

I don’t know, but can you give me one of those interviews? haha

I’m an ED applicant and havent heard from anyone
getting a little worried

aleesha101, Haha…I think the face-to-face interview availability depends on your location. But the Skype one is probably just for M&T applicants…Honestly I don’t know…GOOD LUCK! I hope you get in!

Wait…so did the first interviewer give you a choice to skype/meet face-to-face? Because i would find it really awkard and uncomfortable skyping with an interviewer. But i wouldn’t want to reject the interview. So do they give you a choice?

I know that’s why I’m worrying, wilddreams

I live in LA. EXTREMELY densely populated!

Applications for dual major programs go to a specific admissions group just for that program. If they don’t accept you you can still be considered for admission to engineering or wharton (you have to specify this in your application ). Then your file goes thru that admissions process as well.

My son interviewed with the head of the dual program he is applying to when he visited Penn and also had a local interview with an alumni. So two interviews are not unusual and can only help you depending on how the admission process works out and assuming you interview well.

Thanks, everybody! Wilddreams, the M&T alum seems to live in Pennsylvania, and he didn’t give me a choice of face-to-face interview. MidwestDad, Thanks for the advice! I am doing both then. : )
