<p>Just a question. I'd never heard of it. But when I would google anything college related it always brought me back to CC. So, I just decided to join.</p>
<p>How did all you guys stumble across this site? It's not really advertised anywhere I've seen.</p>
<p>I think i was bored last july and started researching colleges. That led me to this site where I've had many different user names.</p>
<p>High google page-rank, forgot what exactly I googled.</p>
<p>I found it back in January/February 2004 when I was a 9th grader and started researching summer programs and studying for the SAT. I wish I found it earlier. Then I'd realize how horrible my public school really was.</p>
<p>I was looking for DC's National Merit cut-off score (and found out that you need to be a US citizen to qualify, and felt a little disappointed because it meant my 232 was good for nothing).</p>
<p>Yeah seems like it's google for almost everyone.

<p>my best friend was googling nj governor school and found the thread that I made on it. that was pretty interesting.</p>
<p>I started to obsess about college, so I joined CC...lol.</p>
<p>googling random stuff..oh yeah, I remember it was sat bio books...and I was like, who are this freaks who just spend all of their time on a college discussion forum (<em>points to high post count</em>)</p>

<p>I was googling for college discussion groups when I was obsessing right before my son heard from his ED school. Found CC, and I've been here ever since.</p>
<p>googled for some question and got here and thought the boards were interesting, left, came back for another question and got stuck lol, so ya google definitely did it</p>

<p>i think it was sometime at the end of the last school year that I started looking at colleges just for fun to see what was out there, how hard it is to get into certain schools, what schools have good athletics/are close/ what ever...</p>
<p>i'm thinking google came into the picture somewhere multiple times.</p>
<p>all i know is that the first time i came i remember just clicking it off thinking it was some sorta scam that wanted your money. i didnt even click on "college discussion." than i started reading...and reading...and reading...and let's just say i've stalked these boards since!</p>

<p>My brother used it, and I started stalking it summer of last year. I eventually came around to making my own account I think around the winter of Junior year.</p>
<p>Coz I started to be very interested in US education system and I always tried to find as much info as possible, so once when I searched something on internet, there were a redir to CC discusion.</p>
<p>Back when I needed advice for the SATs last summer</p>
<p>haha In eighth grade when I was deciding between going to my regional high school, a public magnet high school, and going to a private/boarding high school, I literally came up with the thought to google "How to get into an Ivy League". </p>
<p>and CC came up. :)</p>
