My son was excited about the prospect of designing his own academic plan. He also felt right at home when he stayed overnight there.

I visited a billion colleges. The only place that made me smile was Brown. I applied ED (choosing between Yale, Brown, and UChicago) when I looked at an application.

It asked, “Why do you want to go to Yale?” And I couldn’t come up with any reasons. I didn’t have any. Similarly with UChicago. But my answer to Brown’s question came right away.

It’s an inventive place. A very learning-centric place.

thanks for the input! I hate when people (especially on CC) describe Brown as a soft of “back-up” Ivy when it’s so much more than that!
