My dd has narrowed down her choices to just a couple schools and Goucher is one of them.

I'd love it if former/ current parents or students would chime in and tell me why they chose Goucher.

DS has just chosen Goucher based largely on ineffable “fit” -meaning, I think, he had a good rapport with his overnight host.

He got into Wooster after a deferral, and I was all in favor of that (better depts in his interests, closer, student body has somewhat better academic qualifications), but he wasn’t having it; he liked Goucher best.

He always said he wanted a small LAC but in a big city, so in that sense he hit his nail on the head.

Best of luck!

One of the big things that did it for me was my visit to the school. Everybody was so nice and friendly and enthusiastic I felt right at home and knew the school would be a good fit for me.

Also, despite it’s not actually being in Baltimore (as the school’s website might lead one to believe) Towson seemed like a pretty nice town Baltimore is only 15-20 minutes away so the location was definitely a plus.

Also worth mentioning is the class sizes, the beautiful campus, and the renowned Study Abroad program offered by the school.

Though I was offered spots at a lot of similar schools like Wheaton, Muhelenberg, Hampshire, Goucher just seemed like the best fit.
