why didn't Brian Kelly call timeout and let Michigan burn 20 seconds?

<p>I dont understand, there were about 45 or so seconds left when Michigan was on the 2 yard line on the last play. At that point, Michigan still had 2 timeouts, so it wasnt like time would be a concern even with running plays either way. </p>

<p>So why didnt Brian Kelly call one of his remaining 2 time outs to give his team an extra 20 seconds or so to stage a comeback drive?</p>

<p>but strategically all I could think is he wanted that TO saved so they could regroup after a long play, or if the QB got sacked…i don’t really know. Since the clock stops after a 1st down, I couldn’t think of a good reason</p>
