When I was talking about Pascal's wager and people's lives being pointless I was not expressing my personal views but entering the (as I said) limited universe of Pascal's Wager, which is obviously not representative of reality. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
I believe that each human life, no matter what condition it is in, is of intrinsic value. You apparently felt Lewis' words worthy of criticism, but I found your dismissal lacking in substance and more the result of a prejudiced approach than of a logical rebuttal. I am also curious as to why you refer to Christianity as "little-supported beliefs."

ILikeDice: you said
"I find it idiotic that Christians believe that if they don't believe in a COMPLETELY (undoubtedly) perfect being--especially given no evidence except a potential madman's raving claiming to be his son--that they won't be let into his special club when they die."

I don't know about the rest of Christianity, but Catholics do NOT believe that you have to be Catholic or even Christian to get to heaven. They do believe that if you had full knowledge of the Catholic Church and that it was the true Church of God and consciously chose to reject it, then you would be in serious trouble in the afterlife. If you never knew fully about Catholicism or were misinformed and that led you to this decision, it is not the same.

You can assume all you want -- but I'm not "prejudiced" against him or his ideas. I will rebut as I see fit.

Because there is very little support to Christianity, and in fact most religions. There's simply no empirical evidence that God exists. Most, if not all, the support that people provide for the existence of God is easily rebutted. Again, see:
