<p>I study because I feel like a bum if I don't :O</p>

I never used to study before. I always thought you shouldn't have to go to school if you did not want to. I wanted to live out in the wild like we're supposed to like alexander supertramp or whatever. Finally, My independent day school asked me to leave because my grades were crappy in the middle of my sophomore year. All of my friends went to that school. When I left and had to go to public school, i hated it and skipped almost every single day. Then my sister (because my mom is an alcoholic and my dad (my best friend) died when i was 14 in eighth grade) sent me away to boarding school in New Hampshire to a second chance school. I've always felt like a very smart individual with a good understanding of how the world works. I just think its *****ed up how it works so i didnt want to be a part of it. Anyway, now i am a straight A student because there is nothing better to do in NH except learn about stuff. I feel ive given into the system i hate and now life is that much more depressing and difficult with way too many decisions about where to go to college and what you want to do with your life. Its messed up. BTW, you know there are genetically modified glow in the dark fish because scientists teamed up with pet stores think they will make money? So everybody gather round and get your freakin sweet fish! NOT! Also, religion is stupid because it was completely made up in hunter gatherer times to explain what could not be explained. I'm not saying there isnt some higher being but all these random rules and traditions is all bull. Finally, all of you are a slave to time and if you dont actually understand that it is an invention of mankind, your stupid. My apologies if i offended anyone but thats pretty messed up that what im typing can get other people angry. Peace out. (because fighting is stupid too)

<p>What up Holden~</p>
<p>ZOMG. Holden Caulfield!~
I study because I have to do so in order to meet admission requirements for more schooling (i.e. college then later graduate school). I don't necessarily study for looking spiff for adcoms. I think I study to educate myself so I have the proper knowlege to become an authority in whatever field I want to go into later in life. </p>
<p>IMO. are most NH schools 2nd chance schools? I think my friend goes to one. She's a straight A student there, vs. she was a straight C/D student in my school until she transferred out. lol. Also apparently the kiddies in her school can't spell words like cool or teacher correctly.</p>
<p>I like competing with others in my class. I also enjoy learning some of the subjects (excluding chemistry).</p>
<p>studying to prepare myself for college and real life. Studying and learning new things expands your mind and makes you smarter in things like out-of-box and critical thinking which is pretty crucial for real life. </p>
<p>and studying to get into a BA/MD program, full scholarship (unfortunately my money doesnt grow on trees) , become a doctor and save lives, and make my parents proud (to an extent).</p>
<p>i study hard becuase I don't believe in doing anything less than my very best</p>
<p>If I don't study hard, I say 'what if' and 'why not' for the rest of my life...</p>
<p>For me, the question would be, "Why DON'T you study hard?"</p>
<p>And my answer:
Because I don't have to. </p>
<p>I do just fine and I'm perfectly happy with my 3.9/4.0 without studying, thanks. I don't feel the need to kill myself just to get a few extra points on a test just to get into x college so I can do y with my life, and if I don't get into x college, I'm an obvious failure. Don't get me wrong, I love to learn. I do my homework, I pay attention in class, I research a lot of things online to enhance my knowledge. I don't feel the need to spend time going over my notes when I know that I either know it, or don't and if I don't know it, well then... sucks for me, but it's not the end of the world.</p>
<p>to survive.</p>
<p>to save money in college. i plan on getting a full ride, and then going to med school with a national program that lets you work off your debt for a few years after med school. why accrue debt?</p>
<p>Because I want to have a good job when I grow up.</p>
<p>I don't. I only studied hard my junior year for physics class to prevent from getting a C (ick science) and for AP tests junior year. Not this year though. Senioritis '08! Best thing in the world</p>
<p>Really...I am a good time manager. I don't need to study hard to get good grades. Study soft...party hard!</p>
<p>But I do like learning.</p>
