"Why do you want to attend WashU?"

I plan to interview for Washu next year when I’m a senior. I’ve heard it will increase my odds of getting accepted since I’m showing interest in the school. One question that I anticipate and am not sure how to reply to is "why do you want to attend WashU. I want to reply because they have a great business program, beautiful campus, and allow you major in two very different areas(Im considering finance and computer science). However, I’ve heard to never tell them about their school. Tell them an engaging story about yourself that helps them visualize how you will add to their program and campus.

Can anyone tell me how they would/have responded to this question? Should I take about my career aspirations or dreams? What I’m interested in and my accomplishments? I’d mention how I aspire to go into investment banking and one day be a fund manager on Wall Street. Or an alternate to this vision is going to Silicon Valley (hence major in computer science) and join a start up. For interest I’d mention FBLA and robotics. I’d talk about how I love to volunteer.

Alright, Im not an expert, but I would say instead of talking about how good their business program is talk about how much you love the subject, then back it up with saying how WashU fits your interests.
Talk about not what the school has in general, but how it would provide you opportunities that you couldn’t find else where.
And for the follow up questions you posed, I would talk about all of those things as long as you can directly tie it to the school.
