SAT average is really 1500 and the ACT is 21. Ans just because you are a failure does not mean we should aim to be average. The average for ALL Americans is that low. If we wish to aim for a good school, there is no way to be accepted with such a bad score.

The average for the good schools is in the 2100-2200 range.

I agree. We can't settle for the average if we want to actually get into the college of our dreams. It's just better for us if more people settle for the average while we don't.

mind if I ask you why you are posting this on CC? most of people on this forum aim for good colleges. average doesn't cut it.

The average American also has no clue what's going on in politics. yet another reason i don't like to be "average."

lol again, CC has its own standards that have completely incongrous with normal standards. It would not be right to compare the two. It is amazing the transformations my stats get when they are posted on CC. Outside, i am amazing. In CC, i am just another decent student. The 2000 being average is indicating that the student is aiming high. Never, never settle for average! One thing i have learned. If you try, you will be above average because there are too many people that do no care at all.

Omg, I actually really like that statement. I'm gonna remember it. btw.

"National Average" < "Average for the school I want to get into"

That's why people don't seem to "get" what you're pointing out.
