Why hasn't my school received my FAFSA?

<p>I completed and submitted my FAFSA a week ago, and received a confirmation email the next day from FAFSA saying that my forms had been processed, and my Student Aid Report was now available for viewing.</p>

<p>However, as of yesterday my school still had not received my FAFSA. Is there typically a time delay between completing the FAFSA and when the school receives it? If so, how long on average? </p>

<p>I contacted my school's FA office yesterday (a week after receiving the confirmation FAFSA email), and they said they would check with their IT guys to make sure there was no system error. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.</p>

<p>Double check the SAR and make sure you have the correct school code and then, if the school code is correct, make sure they are looking under the correct name. 9 times out of 10, when the FA Office cannot see the FAFSA after the SAR has been released, it is because the school code is incorrect or because the student's name on the FAFSA is different....perhaps a typo.</p>
