Why is Rice/Baylor Med Program Good?

Many people will say that this program is the top of its kind in the nation. I was just wondering what makes it unique and why it deservs such an acclamation. I'm very interested in it, and I was just hoping people can tell me out of experience its pros/cons.

Not much, from my understanding. Name recognition I suppose? Correct me if I’m wrong.

a top undergrad and a top med school.

Also, Baylor is one of the cheapest top medical schools in the country.

^If you are in state

^ Baylor is private

Tuition and fees:
Baylor - $18,176 R $31,276 OOS (Temple - $57,475 highest)
UT Schools - $14,000 R $27,000 OOS
Baylor instate tuition is supported by the state, thereby equalizing the tuition to the Texas public medical school levels. Baylor can take more out off staters than the 10% of the public schools, by law.
At UTMB years ago, three of my classmates transfer to UCLA in their third year. They were from California.

BCM is the simply the best value for money among all medical schools in the country. Then add the reputation of Dr. Denton Cooley and Dr. Michael DeBakey the world renowned heart surgeons, you cannot beat the school.

satacer, cooley wasn’t at BCM, he was at UT.

BCM has a great reputation and great resources. they are undergoing tough financial situations now, though - that’s a risk you take on if you commit to their program.
