how bad does it hurt My chances that I just wrote kinda straightforward? “like: I’m interested in how marketing does that, so i will concentrate in that and learn that, then attend that conference, blabla…”</p>
<p>Lol Swede, don’t sweat it. The essay is the only chance in hell I have at the school, and I still don’t think it is good enough. I have work experience etc, but Wharton is impossible to get into anyways. UVA is #1!

<p>Wow, thanks debarghya9!! To be honest, I somewhat enjoy creative writing. For my Penn essay, I sat for 3 days re-writing what I already had. I couldn’t figure out a way to say why Penn without the classic “I would do this, that, and this at Penn. Penn is perfect for me.” Then I went out on a limb and threw this idea down :D. Over time I had sent myself emails about things I wanted to include in the essay (the quotes, the love sign, the fraternity, etc). I hope this essay helps me in, because if I’m denied at UVA it’s Wharton for me :).</p>

<p>Disagreement, UVA hasn’t rejected me… yet. I’m expecting rejection there due to being OOS and I doubt that I will get into Penn either (I’m a very pessimistic guy). But if I do end up being denied at UVA and somehow a miracle strikes, Wharton it is!</p>
