<p>Yes they do have concentrations. Finance, management, accounting, marketing etc.</p>
<p>You get a B.A degree with a concentration in your choice. Off the top of my head only UC Berkeley, UC Riverside and UC Irvine have full fledged Business Admin programs. Davis, San Diego, UCLA, Santa Cruz, and Santa Barbara all have hybrid business/econ/accounting and normal econ programs. </p>
<p>As for why people major in one and not the other, its all personal preference. Some people want to be accountants/cpas, some want to go into ibanking, some management, managerial economics etc.</p>
<p>you get a B.S. from Berkeley if you major in Business Admin.</p>
<p>Also don’t forget about Cal Poly SLO! They have many concentrations for their Bus. Admin major</p>
