I picked Muir, then Revelle....ERC was like LAST!!

no offense, but maybe you should be grateful that you got INTO UCSD :|

dude....it was my 5th choice!!! ***!!! I DONT WANT TO DO EXTRA GE's

ERC doesn't have too many GEs. Its around the same as Muir. Calc BC and Foreign language, and Bio/Chem/Physics AP exams help minimize em even more.

All it is is the extra righting

plus, I've heard ERC has the best dorms on campus. cheer up.

Yeah I heard the dorm thing too. I'm happy about that. I just don't want to do too many GE's while my friends play video games

stop whining you @@@wipe be grateful you got in

i'm in erc right now...the dorms are new so that's nice...and there's a better chance here more than anywhere else that you'll get a double or a single. so sign up for housing like now

the GEs for erc are really not too bad outside of mmw...if you took a lot of APs, you'll probably wipe out a handful of them...and as for mmw, i dislike it but it's nice to be able to attend the same class with friends who have a different major and would otherwise not have any classes with you...so cheer up...mmw 1 is enjoyable.

what's wrong with ERC?

^

aside from the two year writing sequence...my RA said half of next year's ERC freshman will be shoved over to Revelle dorms...so if you dislike writing and only picked ERC for the dorms...that would suck.

i know seriously.. be happy you got in.. unlike SOME of us.

uh, we only actually "write" during mmw 2 and 3...

you should be happy that you got in... cuz i didn't

konjac, well if i sign up for housing like... NOW i'll be pretty much guaranteed housing in the actual ERC dorms right

YES, SIGN UP NOW!! DON'T MATTER IF YOU END UP GOING TO ANOTHER SCHOOL, JUST SIGN UP N GUARANTEE A SINGLE/DOUBLE! or else you'll be stuck in a plus-1 situation where there are 3 people living in a double room.

edit: actually if you sign up NOW, i can almost 98% guarantee that if you ask for a single you will get a single. or if you'd like, you can request the apartments (where it's mostly the sophomores), and live in a single with a nice kitchen/dining room/living room and closed bathrooms and showers with 3 other people in all single rooms :)

How exactly do you sign up?.. I went to the Housing Application of the site and just typed in my ID/birthday, hit ok a few times, and it ended at a page that said something about them handling housing applications through our ucsd emails (which they'll be assigning in may?). So is that all I have to do to make sure I have priority on housing in ERC?

hmmm..if my memory serves me right, i put in my ID and birthday, but it took me to a page where it says somewhere along the line of "housing application received" and then later you fill out the whole "i do/do not smoke, i do/don't mind drinking, blah blah"..sorry i have bad memory lol

Seriously, if you're complaining about getting INTO UCSD's ERC, then maybe admissions made a wrong choice letting you in.

Actually, ERC is a great choice and people really seem to like it that I know. They have a lot of fun activities, and it is in a good location on campus.

ERC is the most beautiful by far. I'm in muir and would rather be in ERC... I love that section of the campus and it was planned out much better than Muir was.
