<p>Actually, it work against him/her. If you were an Adcom, what would you think about someone retaking the test with a score of 2360? One might really wonder about emotional maturity and character. It's not about how high you test over a certain level.</p>
<p>I thought I just showed that the adcoms wouldn't care about that. The kid above did not retake to be more impressive to college directly, however there is a Presidential Award thing (not money but you could get a chance to meet the President) that only kids who score the highest on the SAT in their respective areas are invited to. In NJ you usually need near a 2400 to be invited. A 2360 would not have cut it, and the aforementioned kid was interested.</p>
