Will a communal vs semi-private bathroom be a major factor in your dorm selection?

lol, believe it or not, that is one of the biggest factors for me.
is this strange?
i just have this deep concern about disposing waste in a communal bathroom. i went to umichigan for three weeks and it had communal bathrooms...that was a terrible terrible experience -_-

lol I had no choice. Honestly though, I would love to have a private bathroom

I actually couldn’t care less…

I actually have a semi-private bathroom. It’s absolutely awesome .

ooh haha
^really lennin? lol. i just cant imagine myself having to use a communal bathroom for a long period of time >.<

Yeah…I’m not shy, and I’m really not embarrassed at all to be naked or get dressed or whatever in front of other people…

Plus, i’m not one of thoso girls with 10,000 moisturizers and creams and stuff on their bathroom sink…

Of course, I would prefer a semi-private bathroom, but it wouldnt affect at all my college choice. =)
Ironically my number 1 choice is NYU, and all their dorms have semi-private bathrooms.

I think I’d choose semi-private bathroom for the sake of others. I take a crap once every week or so, and it often clogs up the toilet, and I hate unplugging it. So, yeah…

Dead serious too =/

^ warning - the toilets in this dorm do not have high water pressure. I usually have to flush twice

Check early :P

I’d share a bathroom with hot women.

^^^ Once a week? Get that checked out.

^ Never happening.

hewhopwns-- LOL i take a crap about everyday and i like to do so in peace! I often clog low pressure toilets too :frowning: (too much info :p)
but yea…

You should be pooping at least once a day.

you clearly need to see beta house… coed communal bathrooms

I probably won’t find out what type of bathrooms my college has until I get there. That’s how much I care.

Lol futurexective, I’m in the same boat.
It really doesn’t make a difference to me, I’m comfortable either way.

wow, you people who dont care about the bathrooms are so strange imo. :stuck_out_tongue:
and plus i am that type of girl with a lot of stuff

and yea, a person does supposed to crap at least once a day…not once a week o_O

@HeWhoPwnz

I hope that was a hyperbole

this isn’t a major factor whatsoever. i stayed at michigan for a week and it really was not a big deal. besides even if you hate communals you can always get an apartment or something sophomore year.

I love the communal bathrooms.

You never have to clean them :)!

I stayed at Purdue for a week this summer for an engineering camp and at Indiana State for Girls State this summer. The communal bathroom wasn’t bad at all. I was really scared about taking a dump in there at first, but I got over that fear, and it wasn’t bad at all. Except the shower heads were really weird, especially at Indiana State, but I adapted. It really just depends on how easily you adapt to others.
