I am adding AP Statistics to my schedule, but in order to do this, I have to drop my Peer Tutoring class (where I'm the tutor).

My teacher said that I will get a Withdrawal Pass on my transcript. However, couldn't that also imply to colleges that you had a C- in that course and dropped it because it was too hard? Or you gave up on tutoring because it was too time consuming?

What should I do? Should I just stick with the schedule I have now and not risk the WP?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Dropping peer tutoring for AP stats is fine. Colleges will realize the AP course is more difficult.

Thanks so much for responding! That makes me feel better. I’m changing my schedule tomorrow so any last minute input would be really helpful :)

Should I put a note on my app saying that I had to drop it due to schedule changes?

Why would you want to be making changes so late in your senior year? Isn’t the semester over in 6 weeks or so? And it would seem that catching up with the AP class would be a headache at best.

It’s actually my junior year, and the start of second quarter so I have half a semester left!

I talked to the AP Stat teacher and we worked out a feasible schedule. But yes, that is something that I have to take into consideration as well.

Is there a place on the application where you can explain the WP?
