Will Colleges Notify of Missing Material??

or do you have to call them because not all websites post “track your application”

They are starting to send letters notifying of missing docs now.
Of course you can call them. Some schools are more helpful than others but you might be surprised. Sometimes they may tell you to fax additional copies just in case they are missing from their files.

they call or email

yeah, cornell sent me a letter regarding a missing secondary school report

It depends on what you mean by "material". If something essential is missing, they MAY contact you. It depends on the school, though. If that something is optional, such as an audition cd, they won't, of course, because they won't know they don't have it.

Keep in mind, too, that stuff gets misplaced in admissions offices, so don't panic if you do hear from some place. More interesting, let's say you forgot to send something. How will the school know if you were late sending it, the PO was slow delivering it, or they just lost it? They don't know, so they generally will give you the benefit of doubt.

Bottom line: Now is a good time to call places that don't have on line confirmation of receipt etc. They will not be offended.

Obviously, efficient admissions offices will send postcards or email. Most of them have online checking systems.

Harvard doesn't

thats cause Harvard has online tracking system
