Will colleges verify info on your application In detail???

I was told that most highschools have a list of student made clubs that are submitted to colleges (to prove that these are legit so students don’t make up a club). I made a club my junior year of high school, but I am not sure that it is on the list because I was off-campus (family obligation) the day of registration (in person, not electronic). it’s too late to fix it now obviously… I didn’t see this as a problem but having been rejected from Washu in St Louis, I am wondering…

My main question is-- will colleges think I’m lying on my app? Will they think I made up a club? I was told not to explain this dilemma, as this may make it more suspicious since colleges may not even notice. It is an environmental club at my school, and I was told that because there are so many clubs (30+), colleges won’t search thoroughly through every club just for an individual student. IS THIS TRUE?

Please help :’)

I highly doubt colleges research minor things like that, they dont have resources to check everything a student said he did, but I might be wrong as Im not an AO. They might research huge awards that make a big difference, this club doesnt make a big change to your app so usually believe their applicants. Definitely wasn’t the reason that you got rejected from anywhere

Wash U has something like a 14% acceptance rate. I doubt that’s why you weren’t accepted.
