Hi! I’m a high school senior and I recently applied to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While I’m confident that I’ll be admitted, I’m worried that dropping two AP classes will be a point of concern for the admissions office. I know I cannot handle AP chemistry, so I’ll be dropping that, and I’m considering dropping AP Biology as well. I’m majoring in elementary education, so it’s not all that important that I take it, right? I’m already in AP English Literature and I don’t want to complicate my course load if I don’t have to. Should I stick with AP bio, or can I safely drop it? Thanks!
No, it won’t really affect you.
That being said, I think that unless you plan to take CLEP tests in biology and chemistry and UNC-Greensboro accept them, I recommend you to just work harder and take test to skip at least one general biology class. It really helps saving time and money.
