Will failing my IB diploma rescind admission?

Hi,

I just graduated from international school in Asia and today, I received my IB diploma result.
It turned out that I failed my diploma as I failed to achieve 12 from three HL subjects.

Unluckily, starting from this year, failing condition has changed so even though I scored 31, I failed to receive IB diploma.

Here is what I’ve got (PR=Predicted / Real=Exam)

           PR / Real

Lang 1 6 6 - SL
Lang 2 6 7 - SL
Math 5 2 - HL
Physics 5 3 - HL
Geog 5 6 - HL
Theatre 5 6 - SL

So basically, I got improved with all standard subjects except Lang 1 and also got improved in my Geography (HL) but I performed terribly in Physics and Math

Apparently, I am admitted to Virginia Tech, where I submitted my TOEFL, SAT Reasoning, Transcript (With IB Predicted Score) and other things that are required but I am now really worried about getting rescinded from admissions office.

From this point, I have no interest or hope in receiving credits after knowing my scores and my only interest is in the possibility of getting rescinded from the Virginia Tech, which will obviously screw my academic career. (And I am admitted as a Physics major but I screwed up my Physics HL test… phew)

So is there a possibility that I might get rescinded from VT regarding the failure in receiving IBDP? (or are there any cases where students were revoked because of this?)

thanks a lot!

p.s - I received high school diploma apart from regular IBDP

Only the people in the international admissions office at VT can answer this question. Send them an email, let them know that you have received your scores, and ask whether or not they have also received them.

They might not received the score yet because IB scores will be released to universities by late July… but I sent an email to the VT to be sure about this
