Hey guys, I have a dilemma, and I hope you can help me.

I have been accepted to some pretty decent schools for engineering, and NYU's school of engineering as well. In the future, I wish to get an MBA from a top-tier B-school. Now will enrolling in NYU for my UG help me get into Stern in the future? I can rather go to a better engineering school, if that's not the case.

Thanks!

I didn’t go to NYU, but my law school didn’t seem to prefer undergrads from the same university.

If you can go to better engineering schools, go to one. Stern should know what other better engineering schools are out there and should favor their graduates over NYU ones.

Thanks for your comment, will think about it.
And also, would appreciate responses from NYU alumni .

Did you get into NYU Poly with 30k aid per year?

Yes, @ashleymartin

I don’t think it matters much. I know of some penn undergrads who went to Wharton but don’t think the numbers indicate an advantage. Go to the best school you can or the one you want, get a good job, and then look at b schools. Remember that most top b schools want diversity of good schools

@johnny H I just confirmed NYU. I really like the place, over my other options. Just hoping it does help me for my MBA :)

Keep an open mind to other places down the road if you do actually apply 7 years from now. There are plenty of other good schools besides stern

Yes, will do. thanks :)
