Will had been elected class president by students give me a boost in applications?

I am trying to apply to a very good college with around 65% acceptance rate. I do not confident with the little qualifications I have (they're not so important, but I've been honor roll like all my life except for one year) I have little extra curricular activities, but I was elected class president. I know this does not necessarily have to mean anything, but I know colleges like are very interested in leadership when reviewing applications. Can anyone give me their opinions or tell me what, in one year and a half, can I do to have better chances? (that's the time i'm missing to graduate)

If you want to maximize class presidency, do something cool with it.

It’s one thing to get elected, it’s another to make use of that position.

The latter is true leadership.
