Will I be accepted?

So, I slacked off a lot my freshman and sophomore year.... I got a 2.2 gpa both years. But my junior year I worked my butt off and got a 3.9 (unweighted) and then so far my senior year I have a 4.0.
Will colleges accept me? My over all gpa is bad, around 2.7-3.0 because off my first two years but I show a large upward trend? I test really well and plan on getting above 2200 on my sat and above 31 on my acts
For extra ciriculars, I've done swim team for two years and I'm president of fbla (future business leaders of america) and I do volunteer work and have a job? I have good recommendations and writing skills as well.
Oh and I've take 4 ap courses and several honors.

Id really rather not do community college for a couple years, Id really like to go straight to Virginia tech of new York university. Nyu being my preferred.

Will I be accepted? I'm worried...

NYU is unrealistic. Also you don’t really have an upward trend, as much of an “I slacked off for two years but am now working/have good grades” trend. An upward trend would be something along the lines of a 3.1 in 9th grade, 3.4 in 10th, 3.7 in 11th. Really your best option would be to go to community college.

Is money an issue? I don’t think you need to go to community college necessarily. Give us more information. NYU is not gonna happen though.

Don’t be discouraged, you have good sats and act grades, as for commumtiy college leave it as a last resort, still try for nyu but look into colleges that have a lower gpa average or a less competitive. Write a good essay, explain ur circumstances, show that ur willing to improve
