Will I be accepted?

So last week I met with an academic counselor and he told me I was able to apply for transfer this fall. The thing is my academic history hasn't been the best. I'm currently at a 2.0 GPA . The reason for that is because my first year and half was hard because I wasn't focusing and chose other non-important things to invest my time in, therefore, my grades do not reflect the true student I am.
Fortunately for me, I got it together and I'm retaking the courses I failed to raise my GPA and I've been doing very well. My concern comes from when I apply this fall I'm still going need to make up a few courses. Now my counselor told me that if I consistently maintain good grades I will show a trend and that will help me with my application.
My dream school is UCLA or Berkely which I know are long shots but do you think a Cal State will still accept me if I maintain a As and Bs before I apply?

According to my counselor he says it is very possible. Also, I've been trying to do a lot of community service to show my that I am very interested in my field of study.

odds not so good.

First your GPA is just way too low for UCLA or Berkeley.
Second Cal Stats aren’t holistic for transfer students, they don’t care about upward trends, just overall grade.

How many units do you have (passed)? How many classes can you makeup? Can you do academic renewal? You should probably stay in CC and get your GPA higher.
