Will i be accpeted to FIU, and can i get a good scholarship?

Hello. Nice to meet you guys. I came here, since yahoo answers didn’t give me the correct answers responses to answer my question. I hope I can find mature people here to help me out.

I’m a senior in high school, going into my second term . I was wondering if I could be accepted to fiu, with my terrible grades. My current Gpa right now is at 3.7. I struggled during my first semester getting a’s,b’s, and c’s. The glasses I’m taking are. Ap Enviormental Science, Ap Spanish, Econ Honors, Enlgish regular, stats Honors, and two duel enrollment classes. I passed my first two duel enrollment classes, and now I’m gonna take two more.

As for activites for my school , I have not done anything for my school. But as for community service. I have done 120 hours. and planningto do 100 more before I finish highschool.
Sadly, I’m a horrible test taker. On my ACT my scores are 20,20,21

I’m terrified, if I’m not gonna be able to be accepted for FIU.
what other univeristies out their, can I be accepted into. With my current grades. What do you guys think. What should I do to improve right now.

Also, do I have any chance to get a good scholarships.

Another question. I’m planning to live with my parnets during my college years, to save money. during planning to move to new york during novmemebr 2016.
since I’m gonna be out of state. would I lose any chance to get a scholarship.

Thank you guys for reading.

Are you a high school senior? You have probably missed the scholarship consideration deadline (December 1?) for fall of 2016, but double-check me on that because I’m not super familiar with FIU admissions policies.

Also, are you in Florida? You might want to look at FGCU and FAU (though FAU is trending upward in scores and GPAs that they are looking for).

If you’re a Florida resident and your parents later move to NY, I’m not sure what effect, if any, that will have on your in-state tuition. You will want to carefully dig into this issue, though.

Thank you for responding!

in matter in fact I did missed the deadline. is their a possibility that their will be another deadline? I’m worried now. feeling I lost my chance to get a scholarship. I tried looking for other deadlines. but I cant find anything.

Yes I’m in fact living in florida right now.
and alright. ill talk to my counselor about the moving issues.
