Will I be IGETC certified?

I currently have 41 units completed at my California CC, I am taking 14 units right now to make 55 total, I will have met all the core courses for the IGETC at the end of this semester.

I have 6 units completed at Portland Community College in Oregon, and I'm hoping they will count toward the 60 unit requirement. The PCC course catalog says they are transferable to a 4 year college (they were history classes).

I haven't been able to find out if the IGETC requires that all 60 units be done in-state, and I am not positive that UC will accept the history classes. Is there any way I can find out for sure? If I need to pick up 5 more units I can still do it but don't want to if I don't have to.

You dont need 60 units instate or in the same CC to sign the IGETC

You need 30 units i your CC usually or 35 to sign the IGETC

What you should do is send your transcripts from PCC to your CC then you will see how they transfer over to your CC and can estimate how they transfer over to the UC

If it said 4 year transferable you should get credit for it.
