Just accepted to UCLA, hoping for UC Berkeley. My IGETC is complete, except with the “strongly recommended” but not required physics. I am enrolled in the first physics semester, but failed to register for the calculus supplement. On my application I wrote that it was “planned” not “in progress”, but for some reason UCLA has “IP” on their records. My major is biology and Assist.org states that IGETC requires biology majors to take a calculus supplement with their algebra-based physics course. I didn’t have the money to pay for my registration, and therefore did not enroll in the class. But the waitlist was huge… I’m thinking about telling them I couldn’t get in because of the waitlist, though this is not necessarily true. Oh, man. What a stupid mistake. Half a credit. Do you think UCLA will rescind my admission, and if I get accepted to Berkeley, will they rescind as well? On another note, UCLA’s IGETC agreement states that they strongly recommend either a 2nd Ochem semester or calculus-based physics. I have completed two Ochem semesters. But UC Berkeley is where I really need to be.
Contact admissions since they are the only ones that can tell you what kind of options you may have.
Good Luck.
Unfortunately I do not have access to a phone at this time which is why I am posting instead of calling. Thanks.
Email them or borrow a phone.
Right. But now they’re not open till Monday so I was just looking for some opinions. Isn’t that what this site is for? Thanks.
