Will I get accepted into FSU?

Ill have around a 3.6-3.7 GPA.
A SAT score between 1600-1720
I'm half white, half Hispanic.
I do varsity track and field.
Young voters club and robotics club.
Around 200 service hours.
What can help my chances of getting in?

You make no mention of your course rigor- have you taken any Honors/AP/IB/Dual Enrollment courses?

What are your SAT scores on the two sections?

What is your current, recalculated FSU GPA?

There’s a big difference between a 1600 and a 1720.

From the FSU Freshman profile (<a href=“FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found):%5B/url%5D”>FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found):

“The academic profile of the middle 50 percent of freshmen accepted in 2012 was: 3.7-4.2 academic GPA; 26-30 ACT composite; 1740-1960 SAT total.”

Based on those numbers, I’d say that a 3.7/1720 probably gets you in. A 3.6/1600 probably won’t be enough. I’d shoot for at least a 1700 on the SAT. Retake it if you have to.

You can’t have between 1600 and 1720 SAT score, it’s one or the other. 1720, with lots of dual enrollment and/or AP credits will give you a good chance. I have friends with 1600 who had lots of AP, Honors, around 3.4 GPA who did not get accept into the Fall term but were deferred to Spring.
