<p>I applied to UCONN late October and it is my top choice. I am out of state, have a 3.33/4.0 GPA, SAT: 1080/1600, 1620/2400, varsity ice hockey, in a couple of clubs.
What are my chances and when should I hear back?</p>
<p>Your chances are lower than average due to your SAT score, unless you are trying to be recruited. </p>

<p>I am currently a student at UCONN and i applied with an SAT score of about yours, except my GPA was a bit higher and was accepted for early action. however, my friend with a similar GPA as me applied to the business school for regular decision and he ended up being waitlisted.</p>
<p>i think it depends on when you apply, how your essay is, and the type of major you are going for. Oh, and definitely your extracurriculars. </p>
<p>Some of the instate kids (i’m out of state) are saying it’s starting to become easier for out of state kids to get in but the stats say otherwise…it’s only 30% give or take out of staters</p>
