You are too good for Syracuse. SU is really boring and there isnt anything to do since their basketball and football teams aren't even that good anymore. I'd sooner go to Indiana or Wisconsin.

is the school of communication that hard to get into??
i applied to the management school
can an average b student get into the business school
i heard that since syracuse is in ny they are more competitive about their arts and theater school..im hoping i get in
do people from out of state have a better chance of getting in (i live in pa) just for showing interest???

"is the school of communication that hard to get into??"

Yes yes yes. Only the best get in Newhouse school of communications. Average GPA for the incoming Newhouse class this year was 3.9.

Syracuse is boring, but I bet it has a hell of a lot more to do than Indiana or Wisconsin. Syracuse is a 40 minute flight from NYC...Indiana is a 40 minute flight from....Indiana?

Cuse0507 notes that Syracuse is boring. This maybe true of the city, in generaly, but is NOT true of the university. Many kids will tell you that Syracuse University is a very fun school. In fact, criticism has been leveled at them on forums that many kids are having too much fun!

Newhouse is tremendously hard to get into, it is one of the most highly regarded communications schools in the country. However, their management school is no slouch, I do not necessarily think a B student will get in there, but, of course, it depends on your entire application. Trust me, grades aren't everything.

On this whole boring thing, I do not think Syracuse is boring at all. I went up there and stayed with my friend for a weekend and it was possibly one of the most exciting weekends of my life. I had a blast and went to a football game, which was fun b/c everyone was into it, and I partied two nights until late. However, I don't think that any college campus is going to be boring, I think that you can find things to do and parties on any campus in the world.

melosyracuse I don't know if I am going to Syracuse yet b/c I did get in yet, but if I get in, I might go, I am not sure b/c I am trying not to fall in love with any school until I get in, but maybe.

Depends what area of study you are focusing in. I don't know too much about Wisconsin, but in areas like Communications and International Relations (particulalry graduate IR studies) Syracuse is hard to beat. But Wisconsin probably has its own good areas too....
