Will it be hard for me to get into anthropology at UCLA?

So Im in my last semester at a CC, and my grades are like this:
The fall of 09' I did a semester up at a Canadian university, and I did really poorly due to homesickness and just the really hard adjustment to college life, I learned from my mistakes and pulled up my grades at a community college back at home.
Canada:
Microeconomics- D
Spanish 101- F
Earth and Ocean Science-F
Calculus -W
Religion- W
I had to withdraw from these 2 classes because they were year long classes and I left the university after the semester.
Back at Community college,
I got a 4.0 the spring semester of last year, a 4.0 in the summer, and a 4.0 just this past fall.
Do I have a chance at getting into UCLA Anthropology now?

Is it for a B.S or a B.A
I’m not sure if it matters because I’m not familiar with Anthro., but I do know here at UCLA, B.S anthropology has more pre-reqs than B.A. I’m not sure, however, if its more competitive. Still, I don’t think it’s that impacted.

I remember looking at their stat page and the average gpa for admitted transfer students in anthro was around a 3.6-3.8, and this was 2 years ago. I would assume to have a reasonable shot you would need a cumulative gpa of atleast 3.7 and with ALL the prereqs done. If not I hope you applied to some backups schools because they are picky as hell.

What’s your GPA including your semester in Canada?

[Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2010 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof10_mjr.htm)

The average GPA for a BA in anthropology is 3.57 and the admit rate is 64.90%

The average GPA for a BS is 3.46 but the admit rate is 16.22% Of course this may be due to the much lower GPAs of applicants who go for a BS, since the prerequisites for a BS are MUCH harder (the entire bio series, entire chem series, 1 organic chem course, 2 calc courses).

With a grade trend like yours, your chances are very strong even with a GPA below the average.
