I got a 680 on the Sat 2 US test, and I'm anticipating a rather low score on the physics one too. 2C i've been getting 780s so I think I should be fine for that.

But would my sub 700 scores hurt my chances into schools like UCLA, Berkeley, UPENN, NYU, USC, and U MICH?

Should I retake my US and Physics tests?

My 10-12 GPA (i'm a junior) is around a 4.1 and I got a 2090 on my SAT 1s, but Im planning to retake that to get in the 2200 range.

Schools like UPenn and Berkeley take into consideration your ECs too, but based on your grades alone, I'd say the first three schools you mentioned are slight reaches. In answer to your question about retaking the SATII's...it's really hard to say when you get a score in the top 600s. It will certainly hurt you, but not much. What I'm trying to say is, retake it if you think that you can do a lot better, but if you can only raise it by around 200, it's not worth your time.

shaq - don't retake it, trust me, those scores are NOT that bad. I got into the school of my choice with a worse score than 680 -- you could spend your time better by polishing your essays.

thanks guys for the replys....i hear what you guys are saying, and i guess right now im leaning against not taking it again because even if i want to take it again, itd be next year, and it would be pretty hard to review for US alll over again...

It depends upon the school as to whether your SAT2s will have an effect. I believe the UCs count them heavily. Some schools do not use just the SAT1 scores but use the result of the SAT1 and your top 3 (or now 2) SAT2s as a criterion.

What was your math, critical reading score? I' m sure I'd get at least a 650- 680 on the writing section..my PSAT score predicted a 650- 720 on the score report. By the way, I'm a junior. Just need to know if I'm on the right track or not.
