Hey everyone. So I was accepted to VA Tech off of the waitlist back in the end of April or start of May. Because of the time that I was accepted, I know that they received my first semester grades, so those aren't a problem. My cumulative GPA was a 3.069 at the end of my first semester. After second semester, it has dropped to a 3.04 because I received a C- in Spanish. Because it was less than a C, will they rescind my offer of admission?

Here are my reasons for why they won't:
They ask for an explanation of the grade, and my parents are currently going through a divorce, and dealing with my family's emotions did impact my grades.
This was a college course, so I was trying harder by taking an accelerated course (along with four other AP courses which have good grades).
It was my third year of Spanish which means that it was not even a requirement for being admitted.
It was Spanish, and my major is Chemistry, so it is not even something I need.
They gave me a $6,000 scholarship with a 3.069 GPA, so I think that, if anything, they would only take away my scholarship, not my acceptance, but my GPA barely dropped, so I don't think they would do even that.

I am just really freaking out. Can someone please tell me the chances of my offer of admission being rescinded?
