Sorry if this is the wrong section, I literally signed up only minutes ago.

Anyway, I am currently a sophomore at a public high school. I currently have locked in my class schedule with my counselor -- Advanced Theater Arts, AP Chemistry, AP US History, Honors Pre Calculus, AP English Language, Spanish 5/6, and Varsity Tennis.

This schedule has the potential to earn me a 4.7 GPA next year, supposing I get all A's. I am worried though that Theater Arts and Tennis will conflict and will weigh down my grades. I will be completing 4 years of Theater Arts. I could also be completing 4 years of Tennis.

The question is, will dropping Tennis from my schedule in order to keep my grades up greatly lower my chances of getting into the university I want? Universities I have in mind are UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego.

How greatly will not having a sport my junior year affect my chances?
(I don't know if this is any help but I will be getting a 4.3 GPA both semesters of sophomore year)
