ok so im a junior and i was wondering if taking more than 3 sat II's> oh lets say 5 or more- would affect my chances to cornell and nyu (if i get all 700's at least). I figure that doing well on sat II's prove that ur ready for college work..i dnk any opinions
my stats are as follows:
1400 SatI
97 overall avg- top 5% OF CLASS
fair Ec's..good essay and recs

If you are able to do well on many SATII's then take them. I don't see any reason you wouldn't get into Cornell and NYU. If you were applying to HYPS I would recommend getting that SAT up.

You're set. I read this admisssions book by a Dartmouth admissions officer.... (Michelle Hernandez's A is for Admissions) and I guess Dartmouth considers anything below 650 "bad." So as long as you get a mid-600s score you'll be just fine!

How comparatively difficult are the SAT-IIs? I've already decided that I need to take them, because several schools I'll be applying to require them.

Read the same book

It might help if your school is relatively unknown to the more competitive schools. I don't know about taking more than 4, though. Better to have 3 great ones than 5 or 6 good ones.
