I am going into my junior year and was just informed that I have a schedule conflict that will force me to drop out of AP Calculus AB to take IB Math SL. This is extremely disappointing to me as I was looking forward to this class and will now have to take it senior year. I know that IB Math SL is a much easier class and I don’t want colleges to think that I just took an easy route. Will my other rigorous classes (AP Bio, AP Physics IB English HL, IB History HL, IB French HL) make up for the fact that I had no other option than to take this math class? I am aware that I could just take regular calculus but am currently in the running for valedictorian and would like to keep it this way. Also, my school does not offer IB Math HL.
Thank you! I appreciate all responses
