Will test scores prevent me from getting into schools of my dreams?

Hey guys,

I am not that great at standardized testing with a 2200+ on the original SAT an a 33 on the ACT. I am an asian female and a current junior. Would these test scores alone prevent my application from being considered a top contender?

Thanks!

Bravo

Your scores are fine.

Your scores are fine and the 99th percentile. Why ask?

It depends on which schools you are talking about. Just look up the average standardized test scores for the colleges you want to go to and check if you are in the 50+ percentile.

Just apply ED if you know youre top…anyways your scores are VERY good and some of the more accredited universities rely more on essays with lots of worthy applicants with good test scores

I’d really try and get that ACT up to a 37

Why was this thread even made?

If your scores are over the 50th percentile for the schools you’re looking at, you’re fine.

At this point you should go to community college. I know it sucks

I’m laughing out loud

To the original poster: Ignore the jokers. Your scores are good but there are no guarantees in this ridiculous college admissions process. Good luck!

Are you kidding me? With those scores, you’ll be lucky if you’re even on the waitlist for community college.

^^Haha but in all honesty, you have no reason to worry. Your scores are great.
