^^^^ Somebody’s bitter!! Sour grapes…

I love this thread and this debate:) Keep posting people!

amb3R…your SAT score was 2400 (and you were sick at the time). Great and I am happy for you. This is for the 1000-1800.
Thank You!

You say you see all of these threads have people with scores of 1980-2350 and you made a thread for people with scores of 1000-1800. What about the 1810-1970 crowd. I feel left out. I don’t consider myself avg. (the national avg. is like 1500) but I def. don’t consider myself brilliant. BTW, I scored within that range that you left out. How rude.

haha jsmall, feel free to post in our thread (the below-2300 one). we’ve had a few w/in your score range who’ve made wonderful contributions to the conversations over at that thread ;)

HAHA well aren’t you the feisty one?! 1500 is average. Therefore, below that is below average. Personally, I didn’t apply to any “I-V-Y and any other IVY initials” schools simply bc I couldn’t see myself there. There was a certain environment I was shooting for, and I simply didn’t see myself at any of the I-V-Y league schools.

So that quote you so love, the one about applying to reach schools, that’s what I did. And you know what, I got into all of them. Probably bc I wasn’t afraid of people who scored higher. That only pushed me. I didn’t yell at them for being better, I felt blessed for the opportunities I was given, and I did my best to play the hand I was dealt. It’s all about attitude, something you’re idol Oprah certainly admires. If you could realize that, there would be no limits to where you’d be admitted.

And I will go back to the uber-uber exclusive club now, that I’ve had my say. I certainly wish all of you the best in your future endeavors, no doubt you’ll succeed!

vc08 - your opinion, my opinion…NEXTOPRAH. Thank You!

you know, CC is probably not the place to look for large amounts of normal people ^.^

dang these are some BAD scores
all of you who scored less than a 2000
i would suggest you retake till you at least break that barrier

Hey dragonforce, maybe not all of us are aiming for an Ivy League okay. An 1800 will get you into a solid school.

i was stupid in the SAT.
i guessed on every single CR question. lol.

my math was pretty average. i missed 5, and i wanted to slap myself because i missed a question dealing with a 5/12/13 triangle.

my essay and writing was not that good i believe.

M:680
CR:540
W:640

total:1880..

trying to break the 2k barrier..

^^^ Same. I want to break 2k too. I soooo WANT to get above 700s on all of them. But I’m still ranging in the 600 - lowish 600s. I have not taken my real SATs yet but I plan to in May. I would like to contirbute my past scores though…

PSAT: Low 1500 (9th-- I skipped aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllot b/c i didn’t know how to test)
PSAT: 1650
some learning center mock SAT: 1850
Full practice SAT: 1850

Aw its so qt seeing seniors who are like four years older than me get 700-800 points lower than my score.

That was demeaning. I am sorry.

^lol carin
yeah i thought my 2290 was average on cc

LOL. Quite honestly, who would spend their free time on a website filled with the overachieving college-obsessed. Note how most of the high school student activity is mainly in the Ivy League, Top College, and SAT/ACT forums. Heeh.

why i love cc :DDDD

LOL. average on CC= 2200+ this thread was pointless. now we’ll have boasters boast about their grades xD

I am an average SAT, I am not good at the SAT, but I am good in school (3.7 gpa all of my B’s were in my math classes). My CR is great because I’ve always been a reader but my Math sucks because I hate it. I always fall for the SAT’s trap answers and I’m slow, I think I skipped the last 5 or so of each section because I would run out of time.

1st time: 1510 [CR:620, M:440, W:450, E:6]

2nd time: 1780 [CR:690, M:520, W:590, E:8]

3rd time: 1760 [CR:700, Math:500, W:560, E: 8]

ACT: 26 [E:26 M:23 R:31 S:24]

I’ll probably take both again in the fall.

Awe. A 700 is “great!” :> lool

I’m glad I didn’t know about CC when I was in high school. It would’ve crushed my soul. And I did well on the SAT (a 1460 CR + M, which is in the 98th percentile but here is considered like peanuts. I took the writing test later and got a 770, and I used to think that combined 2230 wasn’t that great BECAUSE of this board. Until I checked the percentile ranks).

An 1800 is still in the 81st percentile.

“Average” SAT scores would probably be from about a 1300 to a 1700 – that’s roughly the middle 50% of SAT scorers. What CC kids don’t realize is that a 1750 already puts you in the top 25% of scorers nationwide, an 1800 in the top 20%, and the 1930 is the cutoff for the top 10%. Which is why I always laugh when people tell people they probably won’t be able to get into a good school with anything less than a 2000-2100.

The 2100 definitely does not belong in this thread. That’s 97th percentile. A 2260 is 99th percentile.
