Will these grades ruin my chances into schools like UC Davis?

Recently I’ve been really looking into doing political science major and history but I was really wondering with the grades I have in certain classes affect me that much?

Freshman year
Gate Algebra 1 A, B
Gate English A, A
French 1 A, A
Band A,A
Biology A,A
P.E. A, A
Freshman year was going pretty good but the B in math ended up being there forever.

Sophmore Year
Gate Algebra 2 B, B
Gate English A, A
French 2 A, A
Chemistry B, B(literally was at a 89.8 percent)
Band A, A
AP European History A, A
now it’s my junior year and I’ve struggled definitely in math and it was due to medical problems. I was getting sick a lot and towards the end of the first semester I was getting really depressed and I am still angry at myself for letting it get in my way.

Junior year
Band A
Math Analysis honors C
AP English A
French 3 honors A
AP Chemistry B
AP American History A
Right now I’m on the right track on getting a B for Math honors and the rest would be all A’s and I feel very confident right now but it feels that last semester basically ruined my chances of ever getting into my dream school UC Davis which I know isn’t actually ideal for a political science major but it isn’t just the school I fell in love with, its the town.

next year I plan on doing band, Yearbook, AP Lit, AP statistics because I don’t do very hot in the Calculus department obviously, AP French, We The People (government honors).

Colleges I’m interested in checking out
Bowdoin College
UC Davis
UCLA
UC Berkeley
College of William and Mary
Middlebury College
DePaul University(my safe school)
American University
Georgetown University (a major reach but why not, you have to try i guess haha)

I am the president of the French Club and started up many donation drives such as Operation Christmas Child and there was a local family that was barely living by so we help the mother get clothes and beds for her children plus kitchenware. I fell that that donation was my biggest accomplishment and made me really happy to help her out. Would this be able to balance out my C on my gpa? my weighted GPA is like around 4.2 I think while my unweighted is hanging around 3.7…

I also plan on being treasurer in band and I’ll be section leader of the Flutes meaning I’ll be working with my section to make sure they know what they are supposed to do and so on. I do National Honor Society, I did a honor year of National Social Studies Honor Society and now I’m an official member, National English Honor Society, and National Science Honor Society.

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to make sure I got at least most of the stuff down. Do you guys think I am a strong candidate for these schools still?

Are you out of state for the UC’s? If so there is no financial aid. Can you pay $60,000/year for 4 years?

The California UC’s will consider all grades 9-11th to make sure you meet the UC a-g course requirements, but your UC GPA will be based on your 10-11th grades. The UC’s consider your capped weighted and fully weighted UC GPA (UCLA/UCB only).

Here is the UC GPA calculator and if you are OOS, then only AP/IB or DE courses taken in 10-11th grades will count for the extra honors points weighting.

Actually UC Davis is an ideal school for political science majors due to the proximity to the state capital.

I think you’ll be fine with only a C on your transcript. You have good grades and a good amount of extracurriculars, so don’t be too concerned. Just keep doing what you’re doing
